Confluence Gardens

Where community grows, and plants are kin.

Confluence Gardens is a private/community garden cozily situated near the confluence of the American and Sacramento rivers, in the South Natomas neighborhood of Sacramento. Devoted to celebrating the confluence between the human and plant worlds. Together, we share Earth-honoring gardening, contemplative relationships with our plant kin and herbalism. A project stewarded by Judy and Ray Tretheway.

visit the garden

Visitors are welcome to stop in during daylight hours, whether it is to simply walk and smell the flowers, or devote time and energy via a work party. Stop by to connect with what we have growing, and reconnect your heart to this incredible Earth. Learn about our events and the Garden Rules before you stop by, for an easeful and informed visit.

stewardship program

Confluence Gardens welcomes those desiring to learn to steward the land, and connect more deeply to our community. Our community is fueled by those who love to learn, devote their precious energy and attention to the wonders of the Earth, and co-create relationships of reciprocity with the plants. As you open your heart to the wonders of the garden, so the wonders of the garden open their heart to you!

Enjoy Our Offerings

Whether it is through enjoying a walk in the garden, volunteering with us, or engaging with one of our herbal medicine making sessions and events, we offer many ways to get grounded in our community, and co-create magic with the plants….and each other!

support confluence

Reciprocity is foundational in our natural environment. Plants are always sharing their abundance freely. Modeling this, we offer all our programs on a donation basis. Your donations of money or time, or other forms of sharing your gifts are a part of this cycle.

Gifts take many forms, if you wish to send money, please send via Paypal.
