why we matter
And why we need your help.
Confluence Gardens is a community herbal medicine garden and education space in the South Natomas neighborhood of Sacramento, preserved and cultivated for the purpose of educating the public about organic gardening and herbalism practices, providing a habitat for pollinator species, and fostering deep connection between the human and plant kingdoms.
We hold space for the Sacramento area and beyond to cross the threshold away from busy city life, re-member the garden, and connect to the wisdom of herbalism.
In educating our community about organic gardening practices, food sovereignty, and herbal medicines, we provide a space for people of all ages and experience levels to cultivate community around connection to the Earth.
It is our vision and practice to create a world where knowledge of Earth-centered gardening and medicinal practices is preserved, re-membered, and celebrated for generations to come.
We are deeply devoted to stewarding our land and community in deep honoring of this Earth, in our ever-changing world.
We are deeply devoted to the education of future generations, in the realms of Earth connection, herbalism, and land stewardship.
As we continue to hold space and deeply nurture the peace and wellness of our land and community, we are so grateful for the support of our fellow gardeners, nature lovers, and Earth-conscious friends and neighbors. It takes an entire village to care for our shared home, this sacred Earth, and all of the diverse life forms our Earth holds and sustains. Mirroring the generous nature of this Earth is a team effort.
